Back from the dead: David Whitney and Philip Johnson spotted on the way to the altar

It was hard to believe when it happened, that David Whitney, 33 years junior to his long-time partner, passed away only months after the 95-year old in 2005. In fact, noone thought that Philip Johnson could actually die, so when he and Mr. Whitney both went to the great beyond, it came as a shock.

In his living years, Mr. Whitney repeatedly joked about marrying Andy Warhol, with whom he and Mr. Johnson were good friends. However, if given the opportunity, he surely would have married the person with whom he spent most of his life. Apparently, the desire to do so was enough to either bring them both back from the dead or simply out of self-imposed isolation.

With same-sex marriage now legal in New York, these two love birds simply could not pass up the opportunity. They must have come out of hiding, presumably their Glass House in the sky.

We here at BarkitectureMag wish them the best in the afterlife.
